Sunday School

Our Sunday School meets each week at 10.30am - the same time as morning service. On the second Sunday of each month, we stay in Church to share in all-age worship. On the remaining Sundays we begin in Church, but leave for our own session after the second hymn.

We presently have 3 classes:-

 Beginners - under 5,

 Juniors - under 8, and

 Seniors - over 8.

Our teachers have a life time experience of working with children, sharing our faith with them and helping them to grow themselves in faith. We have all undergone Safeguarding training and have been CRB checked by the police.

In the Beginners, we encourage the children to share with and respect one another through play. We encourage them to learn simple prayers and songs illustrating the simple truths of our faith.

In the Juniors and Seniors, we teach more formally, using Scripture Union “Light” materials. The themes are common to both classes, but are structured to be appropriate to the age and level of understanding of the child.

Our children are encouraged to collect for missions overseas, our Junior Missionary Association. This encourages them to have an understanding of the needs of others.
